Etoxazole is active against aphids and mites resistant to commercially available insecticides/acaricides. In field trials it gave equal or better control than commercial standards at low application rates. In greenhouse applications, Tetrasan is approved in the US for the foliar control of citrus red mites, European red mites, Pacific spider mites, southern red mites, spruce spider mites and twospotted spider mites on bedding plants, foliage plants, fruit trees, ground covers, nut trees, and woody shrubs. Zeal does not control rust mites or blister mites on pome fruit and grapes or cyclamine mite on strawberries. It is not recommended for use on poinsettia after bract formation.

Application

Etoxazole has excellent control effect on mites such as spider mites, Eotetranychus, Panclaw, two-spotted spider mites, and cinnabar mites in citrus, cotton, apples, flowers, vegetables and other crops. Its mode of action is to inhibit the embryo formation of mite eggs and the molting process from larvae to adult mites. It is effective for eggs and larvae, while Chemicalbook is ineffective for adult mites. Therefore, the best control time is the early stage of the damage of mites. The medicament has strong rain resistance and lasts for up to 50 days. The dosage is low, and the registered dosage is 5000-7500 times. It is safe to the environment and has no or minimal harm to beneficial insects and mites.
